Description
The first of the ‘Islands Series’ from Sailor’s Home, The Horizon – A 10 year old Irish Whiskey, triple pot distilled, a mash bill of malted and unmalted Irish barley and oats. The original Sailor’s home was built in 1856 to provide welcome and sanctuary to seafarers on their journeys – a view on the horizon. This particular expression is matured for at least 10 years in American Bourbon casks, then finished in Barbados Rum Casks resulting in a refined tropical fruit and vanilla heavy dram Nose:
