Description
Meinklang Burgenland White 2022
Meinklang, a mixed-use farm located in the middle of the World Heritage-listed Neusiedlersee National Park (Burgenland), on the border with the Hungarian lowlands. With a huge herd of cattle providing the manure for all the vineyards, the cows are the real stars of the show. And there is evidence of this on the labels of their extensive wine collection.
The Meinklang family is a big one, and Meinklang Burgenland White is a white wine made with a blend of the Gruner Veltliner, Welschriesling and Muscat varieties. The vines are cultivated using organic agriculture with biodynamic treatments (Demeter-certified) and following the lunar calendar. Once the grapes are harvested by hand, they are fermented with native yeasts and then aged on the lees in stainless steel tanks.
Considered the ‘house white’, Meinklang Burgenland White is a blend that perfectly captures the living essence of the land. One of the family’s flagship wines with a fresh and lean nature.
