Description
The fourth release in Glenmorangie’s ‘Tale Of’ series, Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo is a unique limited edition single malt Scotch whisky that captures the wonders of Tokyo. Fascinated by the contradictions between Tokyo’s bustling streets and tranquil gardens, ancient and modern buildings, Dr Bill Lumsden was inspired to craft a single malt Scotch whisky that embodied the city of Tokyo itself. Crafted from single malt whisky aged in both sherry and bourbon casks, Glenmorangie A Tale of Tokyo is also aged in Mizunara Oak, imparting bright and bold flavors with soft sweetness that perfectly balances Glenmorangie’s character with Japanese influence. Bottled at 46% ABV (92-proof), the nose opens with powerful herbaceous aromas with hints of toffee contrasted by incense and saddle-soap, followed by a resinous note and a touch of cedar wood. On the palate, a peppery mouthfeel leads into notes of tangy oranges and bitter cherries alongside fennel and chewy oak, culminating in a long and gently nutty finish. …
