A late 2021 release that mirrors the first-ever “For Discussion” series bottling that dates back to 2004, Ardbeg’s For Discussion Committee Release 8 Year Old is an inspired and exciting harkening to the Islay powerhouse’s formative years. The original was branded as ‘very young’, and was intended as a conversation point for Ardbeg enthusiasts who could sample a ‘work in progress’ and provide feedback. The 2021 iteration of the For Discussion Committee exclusive is made with the same intentions, the result of an experiment by Master Distiller, Dr Bill Lumsden who poses the question to the Ardbeg faithful, “what if, in an alternative universe, Ardbeg Ten was not the distillery’s “flagship” aged expression?”…
