THE VINEYARD 0.26 hectare (out of 2 ha total) parcel east of the Route des Grands Crus. Griotte comes from the old french word for chalk, “craie” which over time turned into “criotte” and then “griotte”. 3rd smallest Grand Cru (La Romanee & Romanee-Conti).
SOIL Very chalky, thin soils with brownish-red color.
