Description
2016 Bigi Est Est Est di Montefiascone
Wine clean straw-yellow color. In the fresh aroma of wine – tone of hawthorn, musk and ripe apples. The wine has an elegant, well-balanced, dry and mild flavor. In the aftertaste shades of plum and almond.
Est! Est!! Est!!! di Montefiascone is a white and sparkling white wine appellation situated northwest of Rome near Lake Bolsena, in central Italy’s Lazio region. Although its wines are generally consumed in large quantities in Rome – and are not so well known on the international market – out of the 26 DOCs in Lazio, it reigns alongside Castelli Romani and Frascati as one of the most prominent white-wine zones.
The grape growing region itself is located in the province of Viterbo north of Rome (with Tuscany immediately to the north and Umbria to the east) and is composed of the following seven communes: Montefiascone, Bolsena, San Lorenzo Nuovo, Grotte di Castro, Gradoli, Capodimonte and Marta.
