Description
Located east of Morstein, the Brunnenhauschen site benefits from slower grape ripening due to its altitude, extending its growing season. Its soil, a mix of limestone and clayish marl with reddish patches from high iron content, contributes to its unique character. The 2007 vintage brought high yields, a relief after the smaller harvest of 2006, and was noted for one of the longer harvest periods, with grapes hanging on the vines for 140 days after flowering. This legendary vintage yields wines with exceptional balance and concentration.
