The Shed Distillery opened in December 2014 in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim, in the heart of rural Ireland, making history as the first distillery in the Northwestern province of Connacht in over 100 years. Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is the distillery’s first global whiskey release. This single pot still Irish whiskey is the flagship whisket release from Drumshanbo distillery, compricing of Irish Banna oats, unmalted Irish barley matured in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels & ex-oloroso sherry casks NOSE: Tons of vanilla with back notes of figs, raisins, red berry jam and sweet spice PALATE: Warming notes all round; think Christmas cake, toasted oak, orchard fruit, fig, sherry and milk chocolate FINISH: More rich fig, raisin and dry sherry
