Nowhere else will you find a Distillery that still grows its own barley, that still malts its own traditional floor maltings, that still has coopers to tend the casks and that still has a coppersmith to tend the stills. From this distillery comes the Balvenie DoubleWood. Two casks of different character produce a deeper, more complex flavour and greater character than maturation in only one wood. During maturation, the Balvenie DoubleWood is transferred from a traditional whisky oak cask to an original sherry oak cask, thereby acquiring character from each cask.
