A collaboration between the masters of Heaven Hill Distillery and Alain Royer, a renowned French Cognac blender – the PHC 5th Edition Cognac Barrel Finished Bourbon is a dram of decadence through and through. Beam selected a limited number of ultra-premium 10 year old bourbon and finished them for 6 months in French Limousin oak casks enriched with fine French Cognac. Expect a nose of toffee, toasted oatmeal, roasted meat, and preserved muscadine jelly. The palate offers hints of wet autumn leaves, boughs of hewn oak, vanilla bean, and sumptuous sweet cream.
