Description
Lady of the Glen Hannah 2008 Dufftown 111.4 proof 700ml
From the moment the cork is gently released, a symphony of aromas dances forth, tantalizing the senses with notes of honeyed heather, warm oak, and a delicate hint of peat smoke. Each sip reveals layers of complexity, with flavors evolving gracefully on the palate—sweet vanilla and ripe orchard fruits intertwine with subtle spices, culminating in a lingering, satisfying finish that leaves a lasting impression.
Gregor Hannah founded The Lady of the Glen, an independent bottler, in 2012. He was keen for the brand to embody the essence of Scotland, whilst exuding a fresh contemporary feel – Lady of Glen brand was borne – a homage to the green lady ghost, purported to roam around Stirling Castle, and encapsulating the vibrant purple of the Scottish wildflower, evidenced in the delicate floral pattern that adorns the brand today.
Founded in 1895, Dufftown is a Diageo-owned distillery in the Speyside region. It is released under the Singleton Range of distillery offerings. At the distillery, in recent years, fermentation has been lengthened, the wort runs clear and a grassy new make is made.
