The 2018 vintage was incredible! This outstanding vintage began mild followed by a long and dryripening season in the fall. This enabled us to hang the fruit to reach optimal ripeness without losingacidity or increasing sugars. The wines from 2018 are exceptional in many ways, from the greatexpression of the whites to the beautiful refinement and complexity of the reds. The 2018 Syrah Cabernet / King Coal Stoneridge Vineyard is another beautifully layered, complexwine from the team at K Vintners, based on 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Syrah. It offers lots ofclassic Cabernet tobacco, cedary herbs, and graphite notes, with the Syrah offering a more plush,sexy, seamless style to the wine. Loaded with red and black fruits, toasted spice, and chocolate, fullbodied, concentrated, yet seamless and incredibly pure, this gorgeously layered blend has enoughtannins to warrant short-term cellaring yet is going to evolve gracefully for 15-20 years in cold cellars.It’s a gorgeous wine.
