“Quercus is a blend of the well-known garnacha grape variety, which is thought to be indigenous to the Aragón region, as well as the lesser-known miguel de arcos grape, which Juanvi is passionate about saving and featuring in their wines. Miguel de arcos is an indigenous grape to Aragón that, when compared to syrah, is larger-berried, with a lower skin-to-juice ratio and a lighter, fruitier frame that is less structured than syrah. It is excellent when blended with garnacha or syrah, as it lends an incredible light and juicy profile to the backbone provided by the two more well-known noble grapes.” —winemaker
