Jefferson’s Presidential Select series originally debuted in 2009 and features some of the highest-rated premium whiskey available from Jefferson’s. This offering of Jefferson’s Presidential Select 18 year old Bourbon is the 2nd release in the much-coveted series and was launched in 2012. First bottlings featured carefully sourced bourbon from the legendary Stitzel-Weller distillery. However, later single-barrel batches are said to have been mixed with 20 year old rye and are distinctively labeled with “Aged in Stitzel-Weller barrels” on the bottles for clarification. JPS 18 is composed of a mash bill containing a minimum of 50% corn and is aged a minimum of 18 years to a barrel strength of 94 proof.
