One of the original set of Family cask releases from the Glenfarclas range of rare and old single cask releases that go all the way back to whisky distilled in 1952 and first released in 2007. Distilled 4/3/1983 Bottled 28/2/2007 Aged for 23 years in a single Refill Hogshead cask #50 Only 302 bottles released at natural cask strength of 56% ABV The colour of pale gold. A very strong nose in itially, emitting strong alcohol. This bottling is 56% vol, so take care-this whisky demands respect from the first sniff. After the initial shock of the strength of this dram, you can definitely pick up some hints of marzipan and coconut. In fact, it’s a very fresh whisky overall, with candy floss and apples present on your tongue. The aftertaste is short. Think pear drops.
