Description
Chateau D’ Esclans Les Clans Rose 2020
Epitomizing a sophisticated, food driven wine made from Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino), Les Clans (entirely fermented and aged in large French oak barrels) represents a particular disconnect with rosé in general as it is quite remarkable with potential to age or, if tempted, to enjoy with great pleasure sooner rather than later. This wine is both rich and exotic while being full bodied and elegant.
Critical Acclaim
“The most hypnotic pattisier’s scent & the depth of flavour is outstanding”
19/20 Matthew Jukes
Chateau D’Esclans Les Clans Rose
Very perfumed with sliced strawberry, crushed stone, cement and some dried flowers. Medium body and a fine, linear palate with licorice and slate. Complex and subtle. Tight, lingering finish with peaches and cream. Drink or hold.
94/100 James Suckling
Chateau d’Esclans, a magical property, is situated in the heart of Provence, northeast of St. Tropez overlooking the Esclans Valley with the Mediterranean coast in the faint distance. The vision of Sacha Lichine (Founder) with his acquisition of the Chateau in 2006 was to create the greatest rosés in the world igniting the ‘Rosé Renaissance’. This led to conceiving and crafting a world class rosé portfolio including Whispering Angel, Rock Angel, Chateau d’Esclans, Les Clans, and Garrus: a new generation of rosés characterized by elegance, depth, richness and complexity. Sold in over 100 countries, Whispering Angel is today’s worldwide reference for Provence rosé
