In the 1940s, the legendary Real family of Amatitán, Jalisco mistakenly received wine barrels instead of whiskey barrels. They decided to use them for aging their tequila and voila, Rosa was born. The family has been making prized Rosa Tequila ever since. Don Roberto and Don Fernando Real, along with their master distiller, Luis Trejo Rodriguez (a third-generation tequila maker), now crafts every batch of award-winning Calirosa.
