Description
The Aligote from Cathiard is a limited, and therefore rare, release from this storied producer. The Aligote vines, in small quantities, are located in the Hautes Cotes de Nuits. 95% comes from 30-80-year-old vines in Villiers-la-Faye above Corgoloin and 5% from vines in Nuits-St-Georges planted in 2011. As per the house style, the grapes are 100% destemmed. The wine undergoes fermentation and maturation in stainless steel, intending to retain as much freshness, brightness, and linearity as possible. This wine, though not a part of the standard range of the Domaine, exudes Cathiard’s trademark of intensity and purity.
