Description
From 75 year-old Garnacha vines planted in schist at 350m altitude, a slightly different outlay than many of the other sites of Nin-Ortiz, but one of their “Grand Cru” sites. Facing South-Southeast, there is the potential for great ripeness but this is guided carefully in the cellar. Fermented with whole clusters and their native yeasts, this macerates for 4 weeks in vat with very little pumping over. Aged 17 months in one 600L and one 300L French oak barrel with no sulfur until bottling.
