Description
The Auxey-Duresses rouge is produced from vineyards in Les Fosses and Les Boutonnières, which have clay and limestone soils and are home to vines that are over 30 years old. The winemaking process is traditional, including destemming the grapes, extended lees contact, and aging in barrels for 15 to 22 months. These wines typically exhibit more opulence, firmness, and structure compared to the Monthelie.
