Description
From the northernmost lieu-dit in Marsannay, Pataille’s plot is tiny (0.18 hectare) and ancient, planted in the early 1930s. Soils are gravelly and iron-rich, with white limestone beneath. Grapes are pressed gently into larger (350L) barrels for fermentation and subsequent aging for 24 months.
