Description
Roboul is made of Mourvedre and Grenache, planted in “soils”, which truthfully consist of hard limestone with large galets – huge river rocks – similar to what you’d see in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Here, the brothers make it like a red Burgundy – entirely whole-cluster, fermented and aged in Burgundy barrels. This is nothing like a sweet wine, except maybe in its complexity: insanely complex in its fruit flavors with hints of mushrooms and spice.
