Offered as the 3rd iteration in a separate series of 3 Ghost & Rare whiskies, the Johnny Walker Blue Label Glenury Royal Ghost & Rare Blended Scotch features over 8 unique and ‘ghost’ whiskies from coveted and decommissioned distilleries. The Glenury Royal distillery was established in 1825 and discontinued operations a little over 35 years ago. Featured with this highly prized distiller are other superior distillates, including selections from such distinguished names as Glenlossie and Glenkinchie. The Glenury Royal G&R Blended Scotch is finished to 43.8% ABV and available in limited quantities as of October 2019. The nose opens with aromatic notes of sweet vanilla bean, slivers of wood, and herbs coated in honey. On the tongue are silky ribbons of cream, chocolate, and sticky toffee candy paired with apricot and wafts of smoke.
